The Old Town Island

This residential area is pedestrianised and was designed using traditional Arabic architectural styles. There are six distinct zones: Kamoon, Yansoon, Zaafaran, Reehan, and Zanzebeel. All 35 of the residential buildings are low-rise structures with four to seven stories. Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar, Burj Khalifa, and the Dubai Fountain are all easily accessible by foot from the neighbourhood. The main thoroughfare through Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road, and Al Khail Road are both about five minutes apart. Between them, these two highways provide access to nearly every location in Dubai. Deira is 20 minutes away by car, the international airport is 33, Dubai Marina is 25 minutes away by car, and Abu Dhabi is two hours away by car.
